XOLO is reportedly planning to launch its first 4G LTE smartphone in the Indian market next month. Dubbed as LT900, the smartphone will come with 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor, writes GSMArena.
According to mobile blog, the phone will also feature 4.3-inch 720p HD display, 8MP rear camera with dual LED flash and BSI sensor.
GSMArena’s report is a little light on details but we found a benchmark listing for XOLO LT900 on GFXBench, which confirms the existence of the phone as well as the presence of S4 processor with Adreno 225 GPU, Android 4.2.2, and 720p display on it.
As 4G LTE is not supported by any telecom operator apart from Airtel right now (that too in a very limited number of cities like Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune etc.), so XOLO will most probably be releasing XOLO LT900 in a tie-up with Airtel unless some other telecom operator decides to make its 4G network official next month and LT900 is its launch device.
Also, Airtel does not currently support voice-over 4G LTE network and the telecom operator will most probably be using ‘Circuit Switched Fallback’ to provide voice support over 3G network like its first 4G smartphone – Huawei Ascend P1 LTE.
There is no word on other specifications or pricing at this moment but the LT900 is expected to officially launched in the first week of November, so we wouldn’t have to wait for long.
