samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note videos
We have been receiving some complaints about the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 auto scrolling. A number of users apparently find their phones automatically scrolling on top of the page whenever they are reading some texts, emails or when browsing other apps.
#1 Software Glitch
One reason for this is a simple software glitch. So try to see if a simple restart or soft reset will help solve the issue of your Galaxy Note 2 or Galaxy S3. A soft reset can be easily done by holding the power button and by allowing your phone to restart normally. This method is one of the most overused solutions out here but it remains to be the quickest way to fix any error.
#2 Another App is Causing the Issue
If restarting does not work, try starting your Galaxy phone in Safe Mode. Under Safe Mode, see if the problem persists. If not, then there may be an app causing the auto scrolling. Simply uninstall or disable the culprit.
Uninstalling an app is easy, just follow the steps below:
1. Press the Menu key.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Choose Apps and swipe to the All tab.
4. Select the app that you want to uninstall or disable by simply tapping it.
5. Perform your chosen action.
#3 AllShare App
In the forum of XDA Developers, some users discovered that the AllShare app is the thing causing all the trouble for Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 phones. So, see if disabling or force stopping all the AllShare apps in your phone will prevent the problem from occurring again.
To do this, just perform the following:
1. Repeat steps 1 to 3 under the #2 solution above.
2. One by one, tap all the apps of AllShare.
3. Force stop and disable each one of them. You may also choose to uninstall them.
Update
Ankit Sanklesha, a Galaxy Note 2 user shared to us through Mailbag that deactivating the “Double Tap to Top” feature of Touchwiz under the Motion Settings apparently solves the issue.
