How to Reset factory HTC One ( or HTC Phones) to Factory Setting (Hard Reset)

Files such as your music, photos, videos, and documents will also be deleted if you select the Erase all data option. So your first work is to make a back up of any data and files you want to save before you do a factory reset.

Performing a factory reset via the settings menu
  • Open the Notifications panel and press Setting.
  • Click Backup / Restore and Reset .
  • Click Reset phone .
  • If you want to remove multimedia data on HTC One, then select Erase all data.
  • Then click OK.
Performing a factory reset using hardware buttons
If you can not turn HTC One on or access its settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using the hardware buttons on HTC One.
  • Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button , and then press and hold POWER.
  • Wait for the screen with three images of Android to appear, and then release the POWER and VOLUME buttons.
  • Press VOLUME DOWN to select reset to factory settings, and then press POWER.
