Ajith-starrer Veeram, which also stars Kannada actor Avinash, will be jostling for ticket sales during Pongal. Veeram is likely to face-off with Vijay's Jilla and either Kamal Hassan's Vishwaroopam 2 or Rajinikanth's Kochadaiiyan in January 2014.
The team of Veeram has wrapped up shooting and the film is currently in post-production. So it is likely to meet its release date — January 10. The makers are hoping to get the first copy of the film ready by year-end, so that it can be cleared by the censor board.
