How-to Unlock sony Xperia PLAY, Arc, Ray, mini pro, mini, and Neo V by USB

This guide will walk you through unlocking the following Sony Ericsson models:

Make sure your phone is network locked

• This service is only designed to remove network locks. It will not fix other problems with your phone.
• Power off the phone.
• Insert a SIM card from another network provider.
• Power on the phone.
• Your phone is network locked if you see a message: SIM network unlock PIN.

How do I know if my phone is supported?

• Remove the battery.
• Look for the manufacture date on the sticker under the battery.
• Phones manufactured before 12W11 are supported. Phones manufactured on or after 12W11 are not supported.

What do I need to unlock my phone?

• Windows XP/Vista/7 based computer (both 32-bit and 64-bit version is supported)
• MicroUSB cable
• Internet connection

Disable antivirus

It is possible that any antivirus or other internet security tools installed on your computer may interfere with the unlocking process and prevent the process from completing successfully. Please disable this tool first before proceeding with the unlocking process.

How do I purchase an unlocking service on FastGSM?

• Go to the detail page for your phone on FastGSM.com
• Select a service.
• Click Buy Now and follow the instructions. You will be asked to create an account or sign into your existing account.

Install and start Xperia Unlocker software

• Close Sony Ericsson PC Suite and any other applications that may interfere with communication between the computer and the phone.
• Turn off any antivirus software that is running on your computer.
• Download and install X Unlock Tool.
• Now run the downloaded file. It will install and run the X Unlock Tool.

Unlock your phone by USB

• Select your phone model and click Next.
• Enter your unique FastGSM account Login and Password and click Next. Power off your phone.
• Connect the test point (TP) to ground (GND) (see video instructions). You can do this using a metal clip, wire, or tweezers.
• Connect the phone to the computer by USB cable.
• Disconnect the TP and GND when instructed by the software.
• When you see the message Unlock done!, disconnect your phone and reboot it.
• Disconnect your phone from USB.
• Power off the phone and insert a SIM card from a different network.
• Power on the phone.
